Medical Insurance
Zia Credit Union’s medical plans are administered by Healthscope and our pharmacy benefits are administered by OptumRx. Our benefits are designed to cover a wide variety of medical services including preventive care, office visits, prescription drugs and inpatient care. The credit union pays a percentage of the employee’s medical insurance premium.
Prescription Drug Insurance
Prescription drug coverage is included in the credit union’s health insurance plan. There is no additional premium for this benefit.
Dental Insurance
The dental plan is administered by MetLife. The credit union pays a percentage of the employee’s dental insurance premium.
Vision Plan
The Vision Plan, through MetLife, provides coverage through in- and out-of-the network providers. The credit union pays a percentage of the employee’s vision plan premium.
Basic Life Insurance
Zia Credit Union pays 100% of premiums for this benefit. Employee becomes eligible after 90 days of continuous active employment. The amount of the life insurance benefit is 3 times the employee’ s annual salary up to a maximum of $350,000.
Disability
Short-term and Long-term disability are provided to employees through Mutual of Omaha when off work due to injury or illness.
Voluntary Life Insurance
Employees have the option to purchase additional life insurance to cover any gaps in their existing coverage.
Additional Employee Benefits
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Flexible Spending Account allows the employees to have pre-tax money deducted from their paycheck to pay for eligible medical, dental and vision expenses and dependent care costs. The FSA program is administered by Alt Bentley Yates.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This benefit is available to all employees and their immediate family members through Mutual of Omaha at no cost.
Employees can speak confidentially 24/7 with consultants who can help with questions, concerns or emotional issues surrounding personal or work life.
Travel Assistance Program
This benefit is free to all employees through AXA Assistance USA, Inc.
AXA Assistance USA is available 24/7 anywhere in the world to help locate hospitals and embassies and to answer questions concerning travels.
Wellness Incentive Program
All employees are eligible to participate in this program. The credit union will pay half or up to $25 towards an employee’s monthly wellness program membership.

Employee Leave
Family Medical Leave
Employees with at least 12 months of service who have worked at least 1250 hours in the preceding 12 months may take Family Leave, not to exceed 12 weeks in a 12-month period for qualifying events.
Bereavement Leave
The credit union grants bereavement leave with pay to allow employees to grieve, handle family affairs and attend funeral services.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Zia Credit Union provides paid time off to eligible employees.
Employee Retirement
401(k) Retirement Plan
Employees may begin participating under the credit union’s 401(k) retirement plan once they have satisfied the eligibility requirements and reached the entry date.

Position: eServices Specialist/Supervisor/Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a variety of back-office support functions to efficiently deliver a high-quality member experience. Leads the day-to-day eService operations of the Card Program (Debit Card, ATM Card, Instant Issue) and Digital Banking (On-Line Banking, Mobile Banking, Audio Response System (JOY), Bill Pay and Mobile Deposit) programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for products and services and their respective service and delivery platforms; Provide answers and system support to frontline staff; Foster an atmosphere of collaboration across departmental areas.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of systems and key processes; adjust product parameters as necessary. Proactively take ownership of issues and work closely with staff and third-party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Generate, review, and work daily reportts, including but not limited to, exception reports, rush card monitoring, and other required processing functions.
- Monitor card activity risk alerts and compromised card reports received through Visa and/or our Card processor to detect and prevent fraud. Process cardholder transaction disputes, adjustments, and fraud claims.
- Monitor Digital Banking activity to detect and prevent fraud. Assist with transaction disputes, adjustments, and fraud claims.
- Develop and implement an eService employee training and member education and fraud prevention program.
- Review key system reports and develop metrics to monitor volume, performance of programs; Prepare and provide reports to senior management.
- Analyze operational problems and recommend and implement continuous improvements to back-office processes.
- Serve in project teams to identify, plan and implement new system and/or enhancements and upgrades to our service platforms.
- Work collabaratively with the Operations Support Supervisor to ensure shared duties are fulfilled; serve as a backup.
- Develop, write, and maintain credit union policies, procedures and manuals related to operational duties; provide training.
- Responsibility for compliance, as applicable, with the Back Secrecy Act, including addressing, in a timely manner, any transaction requiring or warranting action.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Position: Operations Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a variety of back-office support functions to efficiently deliver a high-quality member experience. Supports the day-to-day operations of the Credit Card, Gift Card, Courtesy Pay, Individual Retirement Account, Dormant and Escheatable Account Programs. Will assist the credit union in applying for and maintaining the credit union's CDFI/LID designations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for products and services and their respective service and delivery platforms; Provide answers and system support to frontline staff; Foster an atmosphere of collaboration across departmental areas.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of systems and key processes; adjust parameters as necessary. Proactively take ownership of issues and work closely with staff and thire-party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Gererate, review, and work daily reports, including but not limited to, exception reports and other required processing functions.
- Monitor card activity risk alerts and compromised card reports received through VISA and/or our Card processor to detect and prevent fraud. Process cardholder transaction disputes, adjustments, and fraud claims.
- Review key system reports and develop metrics to monitor volume, performance of programs; Prepare and provide reports to senior management.
- Analyze operational problems and recomment and implement continuous improvements to back-office processes.
- Serve in project teams to identify, plan, and implement new systems and/or enhancements and upgrades to our systme platforms.
- Work collaboratively with the eService Staff to ensure shared duties are fulfilled; serve as a backup.
- Handle back-end processing of IRAs including, RMDs, death notices, payment changes, transferring of files, corrections, form approval and the accurate and timely reporting of IRS tax forms.
- Responsible for managing the master dormancy and escheatable account list through monitoring, member notification, due diligence, and reporting; ensure that unclaimed property laws and deadlines are fulfilled.
- Responsible for processing W8-BEN recertifications, CP2100 verification, and W-9 exceptions/
- Develop, write, and maintain Credit Union policies, procedures and manuals related to operational duties; provide training.
- Responsibility for compliance, as applicable, with the Bank Secrecy Act, including addressing, in a timely manner, any transaction requiring or warranting action.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
